GMTK 2019 Game Jam Winner! Singled Out started life as an entry in the GMTK 2019 game jam. It was hand-picked by Mark Brown for the Top 20 games out of 2,600 other entries! The new version of the game I have worked on during the rating period is now available on all desktop platforms. Thanks again to all the players who provided feedback, it was very useful and motivating.
At the menu :
- Lot of bug fixes.
- Sound balancing.
- Remake of a few levels, with attention to better readability of the systems.
- Whole rework of the difficulty, with some changes on the commands.
- Added a new mechanic, the data storage, with the new command rm.
- Added 5 new levels.
- Rework of the visuals to improve the readabilty of text (without sacrificing the visual effect)
I'll keep updating the game from time to time, here's what you can expect.

Hi everyone!

So much has happened since the United Game Jam 2020 and the intense 48h that saw this game come to life more than a month ago. Since then, I participated in the GMTK Jam 2020 which proved itself super challenging (check out my entry here). I then spent sometime finalising my first mobile game release which is now out on the Google Play Store (download for free here).
After all this turmoil. I've finally had the chance to come back to Yin & Yang and give it a little bit more love. From the feedback I got on the jam's ratings, the main experience didn't seem to need too much tweaking, so I focused on adding more levels and polishing the overall difficulty curve. I learnt that designing puzzles is freakin' hard! I tried to come up with ways to maximise the gameplay elements already in place rather than introducing new ones, and each level is meant to teach the player something important about the mechanics. Hopefully I succeeded!
