This is the home page of the Macintosh OS X Port of David Firth's Fantastic Atari 800 Emulator. I have ported the SDL version of the Atrari800 emulator to Mac OS X, and added a full native Cocoa interface, including Preferences, Menus, File Associations, Help and more. Land on asteroid - L. What is EDDB?
EDDB is a website which tries to act as a database of all the data available in the game. In general EDDB tries to help finding stuff which players are looking for.
Where does the data on EDDB come from?
The data which can be found on EDDB is 100% community generated. There is no regular data dump from Frontier. Systems, stations, commodity prices, outfitting or shipyard information - all this information is 100% coming from the actual player base.
How can you help keeping the data on EDDB up to date?
Short answer: Use a program like EDMC while playing the game, and every time you visit a system or a station, EDDB is being updated with the latest data.
Long answer: Not only EDDB but most of the Elite community websites are connected to a realtime data network called EDDN. The basic idea is that players use an EDDN client while playing the game and for instance if the player docks on a station, the latest station information is being transmitted to the EDDN network. Every website which supports EDDN gets those updates immediately. There are many client programs, offering different kinds of functionality. A flat map mac os. However, one simple to use client is EDMC, so I recommend this one for starters.

Asteroid Miner:
The world has run out of resources and you must save the day by flying to nearby asteroids and securing iron deposits!
Use the Arrow Keys/WASD to manoeuvre your rocket but be careful not to ram yourself into the asteroids or else you will d i e.
Press L while the bottom of the rocket is touching an asteroid to land (Just like in real life)!
Once you have landed on an asteroid mine holes in the ground by clicking with your left mouse button to collect iron ore.

After all the iron deposits have been successfully captured make your way back to the rocket (left mouse button).
Running out of fuel? No problem! Just buy more at the shop using your precious iron materials!
And last but not least, continue this perpetual cycle to the end of time!
(If you run out of fuel in space you can restart using SHIFT + r.)
Controls:
Speed up rocket - Up/W
Speed up rocket but backwards - Down/S
Turn right - Right/D
Turn left - Left/A
Land on asteroid - L
Mine hole/return to rocket - Left mouse button
Restart save file - SHIFT + r

Yellow flower mac os. Good game Idea, but Ore respawns always after landing on the asteroid so you can cheat by landing like 10 times on the same Asteroid without using any fuel.
